About

I am an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, and instructor in Calgary. My background includes data engineering, analytics, machine learning, biotechnology, and scientific research.

At Paramount Commerce, I build and maintain data pipelines, analytics infrastructure, forecasting systems, and BI solutions supporting finance, revenue, merchant, banking, and operational reporting. My work has included migrating analytics workloads from AWS to GCP, developing dbt models in BigQuery, building governed Looker reporting, automating recurring financial reporting, implementing data observability, and optimizing cloud and BI costs.

Alongside my industry work, I teach data analytics and science courses at SAIT. I teach subjects including SQL, Python, R, data modeling, statistics, exploratory data analysis, machine learning, forecasting, Power BI, Tableau, and business intelligence.

I also founded HomeLabs Academy, an online STEM learning platform focused on helping students learn through structured lessons, practice assessments, virtual labs, feedback, and individualized support.

Before moving into data full time, I worked in biotechnology, bioinformatics, research, manufacturing, and labs. I still start with evidence, check the system, test assumptions, and measure the result.
